UPDATE: March 19th, 2020

Though the world and our pattern of daily life have changed for a few weeks, we are still called to Shape our Community by Sharing the grace of Jesus Christ. At Rich Fork, we summarize the way scripture tells us to do this with three words: GROW, GATHER, & GO. Below you will find ways to continue to be the church until we are able to come back together.

GROW is our word for Discipleship and with everything happening around us we have a unique window to connect with the people around us. Below is a short video discussing the first step in disciple-making. We will continue to explore practical ways to make disciples during this season over the coming weeks.

Join us this Sunday for our online service. You can tune in at 10:00 AM at You can also catch up with last week's introduction to our new series Nobodies for Jesus.

Looking for ways to serve our community during this time? We have compiled a list of area ministries, organizations, and needs that you can fill. Visit the link below to learn more.

UPDATE: March 17th, 2020

While God has not given us a spirit of fear, he has called us to love our neighbors and contribute to the welfare of our community. Exercising caution is not merely wise, but it is a tangible way of expressing love toward others.

In light of the recommendations of our governing officials, Rich Fork Baptist Church has made the following decisions and recommendations:

  • Rich Fork Sunday morning worship gatherings, including all age-based groups, as well as our Wednesday night ministries, are canceled through the end of March.

  • We will use social media and our online platform, to communicate during our worship gathering times on March 22nd & 29th.

  • Groups using our facilities must comply with the same recommendations for community gatherings from NCDHHS.  (These guidelines are being updated often.)

  • Later this week, you will receive further communication regarding opportunities to serve our community, grow in God’s word, and worship in your home at various times.

As we discuss the chaotic nature of our world today and its impact on the local church, these verses serve as a reminder of God’s plan for the local body of believers.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.  And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.  Acts 2:42-47

  • The Church is not a building, it is a redeemed people.

  • The Church gathers to worship in large gatherings and flourishes by sharing their lives in homes.

  • The Church had favor in the community as they grew, worshiped, and fellowshipped.

  • The Church grew daily.

While a virus is causing chaos and confusion, the church is being given an opportunity to be prayerfully creative in impacting communities.  Be prayerful! Be people of the Word! Be creative servants!

But whatever you do, don’t give up.  May God turn this inconvenience into an unforeseen opportunity. We are the Church and God is not finished using us to shape our community by sharing the grace of Jesus Christ.
