Romania 2011
A team of 10 went to the same village where we worked last year. This year's camp included leadership training as well as the normal camp fare. Those returning from last year, including the pastor of the church involved, participated enthusiastically. At the close of the week, the majority of the camp came forward to either rededicate their lives or to receive Christ as Savior.
Romania Report 2010
This year we had a team of 10 work in a new village with 40 children aged 8 to 19. The group was found to be very knowledgable but lacking the relationship aspect of Christianity. After a week of Bible stories, dramas, songs and movies, 28 children made committments to Christ. There is a great need in the village for continued work with the leaders within this small Baptist Chruch.
Romania Report 2008
During our 3rd year of camp with the children of the village of Giris Negru we began to see progress with those children who had been with us in previous years. They were very sensitive to the younger children in camp and mentored a number of them on an individual basis. Through the efforts of these mentors and the 9 yourth that we brought with us to camp, the Thursday and Friday night services saw 19 decisions and 6 rededications out of 38 campers. The Lord is continuing to bless this small Baptist church in the village.
Romania Report 2009
In this 4th year of camp with the children from Giris Negru, the older youth assisted in the worship services and in the counseling of other youth. With the influence of these mentors and the hard work of our team of 18, eight children made first time decisions to receive Christ into their hearts. Our team feels that work in this village in now complete. Next year we are considering beginning work in a new village. Also under consideration is a music camp. We look forward to how the Lord is going to continue to work in Romania.
