Zimbabwe Report 2007
Our team of 10 worked very hard in very hot conditions and the Lord blessed our work. In the course of the week at the Bible College at Hwange four of us taught classes on Angels, Romans, Eschatology, and Evangelism. In addition we assisted in pouring the floor for a 26X75 ft. addition to the classroom building and in laying the corner brickwork for the continuing construction on that building. Each afternoon a team was also sent to do Bible School in 2 small churches in the area where approximately 150 children prayed to receive Christ. Though the area is in very difficult economic conditions, the Holy Spirit is definitely at work.
Kenya Report 2007
Our team of 9 successfully piloted an Upward Basketball mission camp in the Samburu Sports Center in Kurungu, Kenya. The camp served over 100 children. Skills were taught and much progress was made during the week. More importantly, however, at the conclusion of the week 15 young people gave their lives to Christ.
Romania Report 2007
Our team of 13 provided church camp activities for 46 campers aged 7 - 19 during the week of Aug. 4 - 8. An invitation was given during evening worship services on Thursday and Friday nights. Thirteen young people prayed to receive Christ and 7 more made rededications. We are planning on returning again next year.
Montana Report 2007
The team of 8 was able to put shingles on 80% of a very large roof for the Baptist Church in Lewistown, Montana. The new church in this town of 5000 was very much needed and will seat up to 300 members.
Dominican 2007 Report
Our team of 17 all returned safely minus about 4 suitcases. It was a very successful week with the team seeing over 800 patients. The visit to the Haitian village was very touching as seven families had lost their homes the night before when heavy rains swelled the river that runs beside the village. Salvaged belongings were stored in the small church where the clinic was held. The team took up an offering that will allow the families housing for the next month. The team also did a clinic in the newly renovated building operated by the missionaries. The clinic is in deparate need of a dental chair at this time. God seemed to bless each member of the team as they served during the week.
Honduras Construction Report
Our team of 12 laid the last block on the second story addition to the Sunday School Building of the church in Jesus de Otoro at 10:30 Friday morning. With the cooperation of some excellent weather and a very dedicated crew, we were able to complete the laying of 1500 blocks, each carried up a set of stairs to the second floor. Those were not nearly as heavy, however, as the 5 gallon buckets of concrete that followed them. Locals will complete the building and soon there will be 4 more rooms available for an ever expanding children's program in the church. The team was really blessed as we worked in this church that Rich Fork has been involved with since its inception in 1999.
